On the morning of 18/4/2012, Wednesday
In the end, I didn't manage to get on the train at Circle Line. The disruption continued and I made my way back to Commonwealth Station. So much for a morning!

Parts of Circle Line was down this morning. As a regular Circle Line commuter, I was very concerned.
On usual days, I take the train from the Jurong East Station to Buona Vista Station before changing to circle line, alighting at Botanic Gardens Station.
But today, due to the Circle Line disruptions, I decided to take the East West line all the way to Commonwealth Station before changing to a bus.

Just when I left the Commonwealth Station, as I was taking the picture above, there was an announcement saying that Circle Line as resumed operation. Excited, I went back into the MRT station and headed towards Buona Vista Station.
Pictures below, the scene at the Circle Line platform at the Bouna Vista Station.
I took the pictures before taking the escalator down. There were others around me who were also snapping photos of the crowded platform.
And the pictures below are nearer to the platform.
In the end, I didn't manage to get on the train at Circle Line. The disruption continued and I made my way back to Commonwealth Station. So much for a morning!
